Corporate Head Chef

    ABOUT US

    FG Gold Limited has been awarded the Baomahun Gold concession project located in Valunia Chiefdom, Bo District, and is currently in the development phase. To support this project development, FG Gold Limited is seeking a qualified individual to fill the vacant position of a Corporate Head Chef.

     

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Role Purpose: The Corporate Head Chef is responsible for the overall management, coordination, and control of catering operations onsite, with a primary focus on menu planning, strict food safety compliance, administrative kitchen functions, food procurement, stock management, budget and cost control, and food-related logistics. The role provides direct supervision and oversight of the Head Chef and entire kitchen staff, ensuring that kitchen operations, food quality, hygiene standards, and supply chain activities are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and within budget.

    Executive Oversight and Supervision of Canteen Services
    • Provide direct supervision, guidance, and performance management to the Head Chef
    • Oversee and coordinate canteen services across all kitchen sites
    • Ensure alignment of kitchen operations with camp, operational, and company requirements
    • Support the Head Chef in workforce planning, rostering, discipline, and performance improvement
    • Act as the senior culinary authority onsite
    Administrative Control, Procurement, and Stock Management

    • Oversee all administrative kitchen functions, records, and reporting
    • Manage and approve food ordering, consumables, and supplier engagements
    • Liaise with Procurement, Stores, Logistics, and Food Providers to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
    • Monitor food inventory, stock movements, and variance reporting
    • Ensure correct stock rotation and food preservation procedures are followed
    • Control food costs and ensure purchases remain within approved budgets
    Food Hygiene, Compliance, and Local Capacity Development
    • Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards
    • Verify implementation of health and safety procedures across all kitchen operations
    • Conduct regular inspections of kitchens and mess halls
    • Support training and development of local chefs and kitchen staff
    • Ensure kitchens and dining areas remain clean, hygienic, and audit-ready at all times

     

    QUALIFICATION, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

    Educational Background: 

    • Diploma in Catering and Food and Canteen Services Management mandatory.
    • Relevant trainings in Catering and related fields preferred.

    Experience:

    • Minimum 15 years’ experience in large-scale catering operations
    • Prior experience supervising Head Chefs or senior kitchen teams required
    • Mining or remote-site experience is an advantage

    Languages: 

    Fluency in English.
