Sierra Leone’s First Commercial Gold Project
Developing an Emerging Gold Jurisdiction
FG Gold is focused on the development of our flagship gold project, the Baomahun Gold mine, located in central Sierra Leone, which is one of the largest pre-production gold assets in Africa. With full licences and permits in place – and construction of early infrastructure already underway – the project is expected to pour its first gold in 2025.
We are working in partnership with our host communities to realise the benefits of the area’s natural resources. From active engagement with local leaders and authorities, to retaining local workforces and investing in a range of community projects – we are committed to leaving a legacy that will last well beyond the life of mine.
